Do I need a web site?

While most businesses can benefit from a web site, not all need one. We can help you understand what a site can and can't do for your business so you can make an informed decision. We want to build a relationship with our customers based on trust. We believe if we do right by you, not only will you come back again, you'll refer others. Our reputation is more important to us than a quick, high pressured sale.

Why should I use Castellian Web Designs for my web site?

We are a small business and we specialize in the small and micro business market. Our goal is to make professional web sites accessible to this market at a price that won't break their budget. Many smaller businesses don't have IT experts to help them with understanding the ins and outs of building and maintaining a web site. Working with one of those larger web firms can be a bit intimidating, not to mention costly.

Being small gives us the flexibility to work with you to build the site you want at a price you can afford and do it with the personal attention and customer service that small businesses rarely seem to get.

We don't expect you to just give us your business, we expect to earn it through hard work, fair prices, and unmatched customer service.

What about using a site builder tool or a template?

You could certainly do that but why would you when you could have one professionally done for about the same price? A web professional is always studying to learn new and better ways to build web sites. How to optimize for search engines, how to build a better interface, how to build sites that load fast, how to work around the quirks in the different web browsers, and more. It's unlikely you have the time or the interest to spend that much effort learning and studying all about good web design.

A good web designer can build you a site that looks just as good but will be faster, built using best practices, and can address all the quirks in browsers so your site works and looks the same for everyone.

You are not in my town, how can you build my web site?

The internet is everywhere! Using the phone and email we can work with you no matter where you are located and your site is accessible world wide. During the entire design and development process, you have access to our development server where you can view the progress and provide feedback. We've worked with clients in several states across the country so have experience and a proven track record of success with remote customers.

How much does a typical web site cost?

Web site costs vary based on complexity and size. Since we design each site custom for you, there is no fixed price but most sites average $100 per page or less.

E-Commerce site costs vary based on the size of the site and shopping cart software used. An entry level system will cost just slightly more than a traditional site. For larger, full featured sites will typically install Zen Cart which averages $250.

What are your hosting rates?

Standard hosting is $20 per month and includes a free domain name (a $15 value) with a one year contract along with other extra benefits. Basic hosting is $12.50 per month.
